Dr. LEanna Brewer

Founded by Dr. Leanna Brewer, SPARK Worldwide was created to Serve, Protect, and Raise Kids around the globe. What began as a passion to meet the needs of vulnerable children has grown into an international movement providing food, water, shelter, and hope to those in need. Through partnerships and hands-on missions, SPARK continues to demonstrate the heart of Jesus and transform lives in communities worldwide.

Dr. Brewer serves the Lord as a leader on the Pastoral Staff at Open Door Church alongside her husband, Pastor Troy Brewer.

While in Kampala, Uganda, Leanna met 10-year-old Colin, who led her to his home—a wooden pallet in an alley—and told her he was hungry. In that moment, the orphan crisis became real and personal. From that encounter, SPARK Worldwide was born: a mission to serve, protect, and raise children in some of the world’s most vulnerable places. Together, they bring hope, help, and love to children who need it most.

Leanna teaches from the lessons learned rescuing, nurturing, and raising children who have survived unimaginable circumstances. She has witnessed these children flourish—playing, laughing, thriving, and growing into adults walking in their God-given missions. The miracles she has seen over these years continue to inspire believers to boldly serve in the Kingdom.

Leanna lives in Texas with her husband, Troy, and cherishes every moment with her family as well as the children she loves around the world.
